Your story brought me back to my childhood as a young boy growing up living in tenement apartment buildings in the Bronx back in New York during the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. I would play street baseball with the other boys in the neighborhood or participate in sidewalk skating “Roller Derbys” during the Summer days. Summer nights in July, we would be catching lightning bugs and placing them in mayonnaise jars, holding competitions on who captured the most bugs. Thanks, Bobi for restoring memories of my long lost youth!
