What I find ironic of the xenophobia of some of the people toward the Shen Yun performers is the fact the group’s headquarters is located in Deerpark, New York and has been for 14 years. None of the group has ever been to China and they are all U.S. citizens. Shen Yun's performance groups have always been banned from China because the Communist leadership considers the group as rebels who present a danger to their politics and society. I have heard from small-minded and uninformed people that Shen Yun people should go back to their own country when they already are in their own country. Ignorance has no limits sometimes!
