Some people complain that Bourdain only emphasized the luxurious, and the rich folks places of traveling and dining. That may have been true in his early TV shows but had those same critics watched his latest shows for CNN, they would seen Bourdain at his best. His show often times took you far from the big cities where the Elites of society reside, and tourist destinations to the rural country sides where actual normal people live. He reveals their daily life, social conditions, politics and yes, what they eat. He shows how the food is cooked and he sits down with the natives and joins them at there meals. There are not always caviar, baguettes or escargots on his shows. His critics may have been remembering his earlier shows and does Bourdain an injustice in not realizing the latest results of his evolution of a life’s journey. I will miss his commentaries .
