In my misbegotten youth, I sold Kirby vacuum cleaners door to door. they were $400 each. I did it for 4 months and earned a whopping $60 for 5 vacuums sold. It was a horrible experience and after being chased and bitten by dogs, I quit. I totally understand your feelings about door to door selling.
