I was born in 1950 in Guangdong, China. I came to the U.S. with my Mom when I was 2 years old in 1952. My Dad was already here in America serving in the U.S. Army. My Dad taught me that boys don’t cry because it would make me look weak. As a child I never cried, although I remembered coming close to it when I teared up because my dog died, when I was 12 years old. Thanks for sharing your story, Tia!
