I started my career at the dawn of the computer age, it was right around the time when Apple put out its first computer on the market; Microsoft was using DOS then. During many economic upheavals over the years since then, I became quite adept to change. One must be open to becoming chameleon-like in order to survive. I have had jobs in IT, R&D, Field Service, NASA Flight Control Room Operations. In between professional jobs during periods of layoffs, I took jobs at making eyeglasses for LensCrafters and being a dental assistant for an Endodontist. My last professional technology job was as a technician repairing sound and camera equipment for the Cinema industry. Now I am retired, but I write for Medium. When I read your story of changes to your career path, I fully understood what you might have gone through, and the amount of effort, and hardship you experienced. So, You and I are both stay at home writers for Medium. How cool is that! Thanks for sharing your story, Jun!
