I once spent nearly a year living in Pensacola, Florida, courtesy of the U.S. Navy. I discovered the existence of Palmetto bugs. It was explained to me that they are the State bird and some are kept in bird cages by the overly indulged Margarita people. Florida is also populated by badly sunburned people who always smell of aloe vera lotion and who are highly irritable from the humidity. But they are the cleanest people that you’ll ever meet due to taking the normal 5 showers a day because everyone is constantly sweating. Fun times!
