I have never met any true martial arts masters who were fat (I never met Sammo hung who is fat but he can kick most anybody’s butt. He is an exception). Before I retired from tournaments, my last Wing Chun Sifu (Chinese for master) was 77 years old. He was as skinny as a teenager. He once made the New York Daily News in a reported article about beating up 3 thugs who attempted to rob him on the street as he was on his way to visit a friend in Harlem. Steven Seagal most likely had some training in Aikido but I don’t think he really completed his training. Some of his moves in the movie fight scenes are suspect, even in the early days of his career. But that’s only my opinion. Steven Seagal-failed martial artist, a failed actor, failed human being (sexual assault allegations). He is somehow now to be in charge of Russian and American Relations as a Cheif Director.
