I am sad that this happened to you. I don’t know how to offer a response to this story. I do feel your pain as my own mother is now diagnosed as suffering from depression and is suicidal after the passing of my father this past summer. She has episodes of violence and paranoia even though she is under treatment and medication. I hope that you find it in your heart to forgive her and mostly forgive yourself as it is not any fault of yours in her becoming this way. Please remember the moments of shared happiness that have occurred in your times together. That is how I cope with my mother who somehow blames us her children, for killing our father who died of natural causes of old age as he was 94 years old. My mother is 90 years old and it is difficult for everybody. I know that the love we have will overcome any obstacles. The memories of good moments will re-enforce that love.
