I am perfectly happy to see on the big screen a movie in the U.S. that is populated with people who look like me. My children are astounded that this movie can actually be seen in theaters. It’s been over 25 years since the last all Asian casted movie (The Joy Luck Club) hit the big screen that is not a martial arts, fantasy, or a white guy saves the day for an Asian character (The Great Wall with Matt Damon) genre. My friends and family are looking forward to seeing the movie sequel version of book two of the trilogy. This movie did what “The Black Panther” did for young blacks and “Wonder Woman” did for young girls in America. Thank you for an enjoyable read, Marissa Finn!
