Good advice for cooking newbies. I grew up and learned to cook in my grandfather and uncle’s restaurant in Chinatown, New York. I wholeheartedly agree that what makes a dish a failure for new cooks is a lack of patience. I have been guilty of it myself. Constantly flipping a piece of meat until it dies a slow death and becomes a “wooden doorstop.” Thank you for the good read and for giving me a moment of reminiscing, Clifton Long Jr.
