Don’t Marie Kondo Me
The latest American craze is an import from Japan. Her name is Marie Kondo. Ever since Netflix added her “Tidying up Your Home” show to their lineup of shows, Americans are inspired with the goal of “Decluttering” and organizing everything in their homes for 2019. My wife decided to try to bring a little order into our lives by decluttering our home. I was under the assumption that retirement meant more free time to enjoy our golden years. but I guess I was seriously misinformed. I gave a moments consideration of canceling Netflix because of this.
I won’t include any before and after images of this madness of tidying of my home like those used in weight loss or plastic surgery ads. I’ll just put in what my wife hopes to achieve.
The above image depicts what my wife believes to be a perfect closet. Whose closet actually looks like this? Maybe on the 1st day of organizing it, but what about after 1 week? Besides my socks and undies have lived in the same drawer all their lives. They love each other they won’t be separated!
