“Diogenes syndrome” is a disorder that involves hoarding of rubbish and severe self-neglect. In addition, the syndrome is characterized by domestic squalor. It also considered a sign of senility. This syndrome is thought to be a result of extreme poverty. Interestingly enough, there is a American tv show that is called “Hoarders” on the A&E channel.
