A hidden danger that adds to climate change is the methane domes that are methane hydrates. They are at the bottom of the arctic ocean in a frozen state due to the high pressure and cold temperature of the ocean depths. as the oceans become warmer, the frozen methane hydrates start to dissolve and bubbles of methane gas are released into the earth’s atmosphere. The methane gas and CO2 both increase the extent and damage of global climate change. We have less time than we think to reverse the damage of global climate change. The path to self-extinction is not a path that all of Earth’s life need to travel on. Thanks for a good read, Desiree!
