10 Things You May Not Know About Me

I got tagged to write this story of 10 things by my writing friends here at Medium. So here goes:
- I came into the world at the beginning of the U. S.-Korean Conflict.
- My mother and I were sponsored by a U.S. Congressman and my Dad’s U.S. Army Corp Of Engineers Battalion Commander and allowed to come to the United States when I was 2 years old.
- I finally became a U.S. citizen along with my mother when I was 16 years old.
- I grew up in the Bronx in New York and lived a block down from the 41st Police Precinct where the movie “Fort Apache” with Paul Newman was filmed.
5. I hate beets. I won’t eat anything that turns other foods on my plate red.
6. I served on Destroyers in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era.
7. I worked for Ford Aerospace, Lockheed, Martin Marietta under contracts with the Department Of Defense, NASA, U.S. Air Force and various Intelligence Departments. I was once assigned for 15 months on temporary duty at a space vehicle tracking station located 800 miles south of the North Pole at the U.S. Thule Air Base in…
